Egg TARTS

Aloha peeps, trying to update something significant. Not really that significant, but it was a memorable night for me because I baked! LOL

It was my first attempt in making egg tarts. Was quite a successful one though the crusts were thicker and burnt here and there.

It might not look appealing for you but trust me, the filling was perfectly nice Open-mouthed smile. I used 2 different trays, one without patty cups, hence the appearances looked different. The egg tarts in 2nd pic was nicer solely because the crust was thinner. Anyhow, it was a great achievement for me. Imma happy!

Below are some random pictures taken yesterday – my housemate’s birthday party xD

BOOM cupcakes

My first attempt of baking yummy, less sugar & healthy cupcakes WITHOUT icing =D

The following ingredients & measuring are just a guideline.

You can be more creative & brave enough to do some experiments. Perhaps a BOOM cupcake also not bad =p

First of all, things that you MUST have

Baking tray

Patty cases (optional)

Oven

Your hands

Ingredients:

125g butter, softened

3/4 cup caster sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 eggs

approx 3 medium bananas

1 and a half cups self-raising flour

1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

1/3 cup reduced fat milk

1) First of all, preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius & grease the baking tray with melted butter if you are not using patty cases.

2) Next, beat butter, sugar, vanilla with electric beaters to make it fluffy. Add eggs one at a time & mashed banana too.

3) Sift flour & bicarbonate soda over banana mixture. Add milk & keep on beating the mixture until you think the surface is smooth and nice.

p/s: If you want to bake chocolate cupcakes, melt the cooking chocolate chips & mix with the mixture.

pp/s: For vanilla cupcakes, just put the plain mixture without adding any banana & chocolate chips. See, easy-nya =)

This is because the portion of chocolate has exceeded the flour mixture. BUT, trust me, the taste is equally delicious. Don’t judge a book by its appearance mar xD

Another WONDERFUL product

It became a donut ring after a few minutes =(

Reason: The inner mixture hasn’t cooked well yet.

Solution: Put back into the oven to let them have FOC sauna service for a few more minutes.

Consequence: Though appearance looks not really okay, but it is still yummy =D
