Egg TARTS

Aloha peeps, trying to update something significant. Not really that significant, but it was a memorable night for me because I baked! LOL

It was my first attempt in making egg tarts. Was quite a successful one though the crusts were thicker and burnt here and there.

It might not look appealing for you but trust me, the filling was perfectly nice . I used 2 different trays, one without patty cups, hence the appearances looked different. The egg tarts in 2nd pic was nicer solely because the crust was thinner. Anyhow, it was a great achievement for me. Imma happy!

Most creative & lovely birthday party ever

One fine day, my friends and I attended a “school theme” birthday party. It was potluck style, hence we were requested to bring our own dishes. Guess which of the dishes below was prepared by me?

 

Tadah, it was spinach tomatoes with cheese. Well well, the appearance might look a bit weird but it tasted good especially when it served WARM.

The host, BOEY’s bf has prepared a special game for us to play. Before starting, we saw a lot of small cups filling with unknown liquid.

There were actually vegetable juice, soy sauce, vinegar, etc. It was yucky when you drank it purely, wasn’t it?

You wouldn’t imagine the game was like the “who want to be a millionaire” questionnaires. It was creative yet interesting. Basically, all the questions were related to Boey’s personal life. Boey’s bf must has spent much time on editing & creating this game as it required a lot of detailed steps in implementing the game.

Everyone was kinda shocked with the questions being asked. Not easy nor hard. Simply amusing

Buddha Birth Day

Today is a rainy day. It makes me feel sleepy and lazier on the first day of Uni. *Yawn*

Last weekends, my friends and I volunteered to help out with Buddha Birth Day festival which was held at Southbank. Thanks to Eric, my housemate for helping us to register as a volunteer. Well, now only I realize how Buddhism all my housemates are which is a good thing!

We were in charged on selling candles offering and lanterns. Basically, all I did was making lanterns and promoting those stuffs.

Somehow on the 2nd night, the atmosphere has become like a wet market where I heard someone yelling out “1 dollar for 1 wish, bla bla bla”. LOL

“ 變臉" performance where the performers were came from Taiwan

It told us to think good thoughts, talk the right things, etc.

My housemate (leftmost) was quite funny and silly, don’t you think so? LOL

An artist dropped by sketching the GuanYin look. I was amazed by what he drew on them. It looked exactly the same.

Last but not least, tadah! It’s May and I started wondering would I be able to complete all the tasks/events/homework on time? It would be a freaking busy month. Hopefully, I am able to succumb over the time and mental pressure. God bless! see ya

Thought of having a lonely 21st birthday but turned out to be wrong. Thanks friends :) So sorry that I didn’t manage to receive Lian’s call as my phone died. Awwwwwww. Happy belated birthday to my sweetie as well :)

I actually bought one “tao de” with 6 holes @ YingGe lao jie. It’s something like a flute. kinda amazing that it could still be played with different shapes of these.

 

@Gold Ecological Park near JiuFen lao jie. Just take a bus from JiuFen lao jie up to this place.

 

 

The heaviest gold in the world? Whoever can lift this up would be yours. Wanna have a try?

What attracted me the most was the abandoned building at the highest ground. Would like to have a look if there is a chance, but obviously i would scare. lol

 

That’s all for now. If you go to JiuFen, don’t forget to try their yu yuan, bird eggs, some kiuh-muih which actually quite delicious to be eaten. It was hell crowded on the day I went. Try going during off peak period (not end of the year pls). Just a small tip I have.

UQ Centenary :*)

I thought of controlling myself from not blogging but apparently, I phailed =(

Was sooooo happy that I chatted with my parents just now & heard some good news too =)

Once I talked about my bad competition, my dad instantly took the rackets & swaying it playfully.

Had a simple yet memorable birthday celebration for my friend. Happy 21st. So lucky that he had 2 birthday cakes. We have 21 numbered on the domino pizza & a orange cake which was baked by Michael. Yummy…

I just can’t stop thinking about FOOD now.

 

& Next, UQ Centenary Celebration Day on last Sunday. Yayy, we sang around the uni campus & was sooo happy that visitors stopped by & clapped their hands too. We even sang at City Cat Ferry Terminal =)

pp/s: Almost everyday has veggie delite (Subway) instead of others for lunch & eating really less & less & lesser of meat. Just don’t feel like eating them at all.
