Mamutik Island

Hello :) I have decided to revive my blog by writing more posts in the future. I was very inactive in this blogosphere since 2 years ago just because my laptop went crazy. Anyway, I have many travelling stories to share so will try my best to write whenever I have free time or may be when I am stressed. Coz I can write better when I am under pressure or be more expressive whenever I have more thoughts running wild in my mind. I hope I am able to write well after not being active in writing/typing for quite sometime. Do excuse me and please feel free to correct me if there is any grammar mistakes, etc. What I gonna share here is solely based on my experience, my thoughts, what I heard/saw/ate and I love sharing pictures.

Alrighty! The first post of the year goes to ----> Mamutik Island :)

Mamutik Island is one of the touristy islands in Sabah. I was there for my Borneo expedition and earned myself an open water diving license. During my visit, the underwater visibility was not that clear. It could be due to the bad weather as it rained almost everyday in December. Still, I saw many beautiful creatures underwater. Here are some of the pictures. Enjoy!

We slept on a static basha for a week. We had a monitor lizard as our neighbor.

Heading to the next destination

Singapore

Last few days before flying back to Brisbane, I went to Singapore. There is a place that I would like to recommend you to go which is Singapore Flyer. It claims to be the world’s largest giant observation wheel. The entrance fees is around $29++ per person.

Because my cousin works at one of the tourist spots, she managed to get us the tickets for free Thanks to her.

Science Centre. If you take the train, stop at Jurong East station. It’s within walking distance from the station to the Science Centre. Thanks to my cousin again for the tickets.

Managed to meet up with my old friend, Adelia and her fiancé who are getting married next year Congratulations!

And my old old pal, Irene who is flying back to Nz to continue her Honours study as well. Really hope to go to NZ one day

Awesome Cameron Highlands trip

Aloha, I am back for blogging … may be for awhile. Will try to blog when I have the mood for blogging. Last few days my friends and I went up to Ipoh and Cameron Highlands for holiday. The first meal we had once we reached Ipoh was the below @ 大樹下, Ipoh. There were many people queuing up for the food. I didn’t manage to eat Asam Laksa when I were in Penang. Hence, decided to order Asam Laksa, my fav! Yumyum~

The makan stall offers a variety of minuman which include dragon fruit juice, jagung juice, and of course, red bean ice blended is a must try drink!

On the next day, we went up to Cameron Highlands. Although the breeze was not that cold compared to N years ago, but still the view was breathtaking.

We were so lucky to see kumbang at a closer distance. I tried to touch its “head”, challenge accepted & conquered! LOL

During night time, we played Truth or Dare. The questions or tasks were kinda tricky yet we really had a good time playing together.

The task was how many people could fit in a couch! LOL

These were the plants that I bought from Cameron. Hopefully my parents could take good care of them since they have green fingers
