On 31st Dec 2009, my friends and I decided to have 2010 countdown at a square beside Taipei 101.
I was sooooo excited at that time because it was my first time counting down New Year at a public area as normally I count 3 2 1 at home. Some more, I have the opportunity to watch celebrity performances for free. Why not happy jek?
A few hours before 12am, there were so many ppl waiting for the train. We were forced to squeeze in the train like satin.
Although there were lots of people, we could still see neat human lines.
Not to forget to camwhore at that packed situation.
Yea, posing beside the Taipei 101. Too bad the bus has blocked the view.
Met with my friend’s friends who were Taiwanese and one of them was Australian. They guided us the way to the square. But in the end, we were separated as we kept moving forwards into the hugh crowd.

More and more people walking towards the square.
Kept walking and walking on the road.
We saw more people standing at the square.
My friends wanted to see the stage clearer, hence we kept moving forwards and everything has to do with pushing. NO, we were not pushing others. But there was always a force of pushing behind us which made us suffered sometimes. You know lar, guys could be harsh sometimes. We were playing “floating” game virtually by floating on the concrete without even have to move our legs. Plus, 2 of us were short, we have to fight for oxygen desperately if not really can faint.
Hmm… I guess this situation would be the same when you are standing to watch a paid concert –.- or better?
Anyhow, I quite like this first experience even though I kinda dislike to attend big crowd event.
The stage
Everyone was trying to pop their head higher than others so that they can have a better views or getting more oxygen :D
Lee Hom was performing on stage. We danced like a “chicken” movement at the small restricted area. Why? Once you flung your hands, you would hit others. So, chicken dance by flapping your hands towards your body would be sufficient.
Lee Hom was playing piano for 你是我的唯一 song.
馬英九 was giving speech.
And alas, FIREWORKS display at this sole building. Didn’t manage to take any good pic of it as the pic turned out to be blur.
And, yeaaaaa, happy JUNE 2010 everyone.
Many of my friends are going to Taiwan soon or later. It makes me miss Taiwan very much. I guess I should blog some aspects of it. What about FOOD that you must try?
