Trekking in Sabah - 2

Continue from previous posts.

During the one week trek, each of us has to carry a heavy rucksack. Inside the rucksack, we have our personal belongings and group kits (either radio kit, food for breakfast/lunch/dinner/teabreak, 3 bowls for washing, cooking utensils and Jerry water). Let the pictures do the talking as my laptop went crazy again :(

We did two river crossing to get to Mega Noah Campsite. It was drizzling when we reached at the riverbank and the water was rising slowly. We were quite worried of not being able to reach to the campsite on time, but luckily it all went well :D

I slept right beside the riverbank. Loving the awesome natural view and the sound of water rushing down from upper stream.

Mega Fall. I will tell you more about this fall. It scared the shit out of us when we were there.

A river beside another campsite. I bathed here. The water was so cold and refreshing.

Never ever touch this thing. It is a centipede and you will feel super itchy once you touched it.

yellow, red and purple! It’s Spring!

Hello peeps! How are you?

Spring is here! but the weather is still going crazy. It was super hot at the beginning of Spring as if Summer has approaching. After a few days, it was raining cats and dogs which lead to thunderstorms. But in these few days the weather is relatively stabled. It is windy, sometimes cloudy, but still it is perfect for outings. So, I have decided to take out my “rusty” baby and randomly snaped some pictures of trees, the nature and everything ^^

Hope you like the pictures below. My camera’s lens has broken, the autofocus function has been disabled. So, some of the pictures came out blurry : (

P for Purple

Other than the above pictures, I only know the name of this purple tree. It is called Jacaranda and it blooms for approximately one month during Spring time. There is a rumor about the purple flowers. Engineering students claim that if the flowers fall on their head, this signifies FAILURE in examination. I am not sure how true it is. Perhaps these students blame the tree because the subjects are tough and not everyone is capable to ace it. Furthermore, there are many Jacaranda trees planted at the compound of Engineering faculty. So, whose fault it is?

These duck were walking towards me when I was sitting under the trees. They must be thinking that I have food for them. After a few seconds, one of them said: “ Eh, I don’t think this girl has awesome food for us. Shall we leave?”.

The other duck nodded and said:"Why not?” And they walked away right beside me without any fear!!

Singapore

Last few days before flying back to Brisbane, I went to Singapore. There is a place that I would like to recommend you to go which is Singapore Flyer. It claims to be the world’s largest giant observation wheel. The entrance fees is around $29++ per person.

Because my cousin works at one of the tourist spots, she managed to get us the tickets for free Smile Thanks to her.

Awesome Cameron Highlands trip

Aloha, I am back for blogging … may be for awhile. Will try to blog when I have the mood for blogging. Last few days my friends and I went up to Ipoh and Cameron Highlands for holiday. The first meal we had once we reached Ipoh was the below @ 大樹下, Ipoh. There were many people queuing up for the food. I didn’t manage to eat Asam Laksa when I were in Penang. Hence, decided to order Asam Laksa, my fav! Yumyum~

The makan stall offers a variety of minuman which include dragon fruit juice, jagung juice, and of course, red bean ice blended is a must try drink!

On the next day, we went up to Cameron Highlands. Although the breeze was not that cold compared to N years ago, but still the view was breathtaking.IMG_4864

We were so lucky to see kumbang at a closer distance. I tried to touch its “head”, challenge accepted & conquered! LOLIMG_4892

During night time, we played Truth or Dare. The questions or tasks were kinda tricky yet we really had a good time playing together.

The task was how many people could fit in a couch! LOL

These were the plants that I bought from Cameron. Hopefully my parents could take good care of them since they have green fingers Smile

Till here. I would try to blog about my other awesome destination next time! Currently listening to LITE making me feels great and peaceful <3
