Melancholic

Feeling a lil tense right now. Was trying to sleep after the hectic week has come to an end but to no avail. Having too much of thoughts at once. First of all, losing confidence is a disaster for me. I can’t speak well, express well, do well either. It has become a major stopping for me to proceed my tasks. Confidence, c’mon, I need to rebuild you and be strong again!

Secondly, after helping out for the “aisha” today. My mind can’t stop flashing the moment of sadness that I might can’t feel for real by the flooded victims. I was in charged in socializing with the families in 2 tables. In my group, here come a big family of 6 with 4 small kids. They were sooooo sweet especially Randa who was just 2 years old just couldn’t stop smiling to me whenever I looked at her. I was deeply touched with how this family moving on since the disaster. They couldn’t go back to their home anymore as the house is sinking due to the soft wash-away soil during the flood. Other than that, they have to squeeze themselves living in someone’s house. After all, it was not convenient for them to stay at people house for a long time. Besides, the lovely mum was sick and was in waiting list for a surgery. One of their children was diagnosed with a kind of brain sickness. It made the children hyper always and couldn’t sit still. I could still recall the unique smell they have.

The more we talked about their condition, the parents were started to weep. I was dumbfounded. I was touched. I was helpless. The only thing I could do was to still calm. I missed the moment when the lil girl hugged me all in a sudden. She was tiny and shy. Her cute lil smile brighten my day. I miss her : (

There was another old couple kept thanking us profusely as they were touched by our kind hearts. While he was talking with me, I could sense that he was in melancholic. Instantly, his eyes have gone wet. I pat his shoulder, and smile, telling him everything would be fine in the end. Have faith even though the process of recovering might be slow.

I don’t know what else to say. Disasters could happen everywhere even though in a wealthy country. People could go from rich to poverty. It’s unpredictable. Yet, we still can save money bits by bits everyday. By accumulating it, who knows it might come to handy in the future.

Feelin refresh now. Hopefully I could meet them again during the performance day. signingoff~

Buddha Birth Day

Today is a rainy day. It makes me feel sleepy and lazier on the first day of Uni. *Yawn*

Last weekends, my friends and I volunteered to help out with Buddha Birth Day festival which was held at Southbank. Thanks to Eric, my housemate for helping us to register as a volunteer. Well, now only I realize how Buddhism all my housemates are which is a good thing!

We were in charged on selling candles offering and lanterns. Basically, all I did was making lanterns and promoting those stuffs.

Somehow on the 2nd night, the atmosphere has become like a wet market where I heard someone yelling out “1 dollar for 1 wish, bla bla bla”. LOL

Being a Vegan is never a bad thing

Easter break is almost come to the end. Yet, never has sufficient time to rest well. Although has been enjoying my vacation at somewhere else for the past 5 days, it’s time to do some charity works. Kinda satisfied and happy though, because alas I was surrounded by the beauty of nature once again. Will elaborate more next time. Yeahh! Gonna visit nursing homes & volunteering at Buddha festival during this weekends.

Last Sunday, TzuChi Brisbane organized a 1 day camp for the kids. It was always my favorite task to be a photographer especially it involved CHILDREN. I enjoyed looking through the camera viewer to see the kids’ expressions and the interaction scenes between the kids and their parents. Somehow, it made me smile though I was kinda tired on that day.

Last but not least, why not try to eat less meat and eat more vegetable for the sake of your health and future? Never try never know! I have been a vegan for more than 4 months and I enjoy being a vegan despite receiving some public critics whenever I say I am a vegan. It doesn’t make me give up on what I believe, in contrary, it motivates me to share the benefits of being a vegan to friends and family. Sharing is caring, never keep good stuffs on your own. Do share the happiness around you Open-mouthed smile

Update more next time. till here. have a great weekends!

Children’s expressions

Argh… Having stomach pain again. I have to run to the toilet for several times and this distracted me from revising. So, blogging is the best solution xD

Last Sunday, I spent the whole day travelling 3 places. Every half a year, Tzu Chi will provide free dental clinic for refuges. The amount of them was far more than the previous years. Due to the limited dental seats in one place, 2 more private clinics have to be used for this function.17

My task for the day was to capture the interactions, communications pics between the refuges and volunteers. Argh.. I don’t think I have completed the task properly as most of the pictures were out of the theme that I was suppose to capture. Sorry, I am too greedy in taking pictures. Have to learn to be more specific and firm. Peh, nice but not related pics must be deleted next time!!!!

I was really amazed with the way Tzu Chi volunteers organize the function. Everything went smoothly, well-prepared and systematic. For example, for my task, seniors will send a mail notification before the day to sort of briefing us about what were the main areas I have to take into consideration or capture. Everything has been explained in details =) IMG_0818   IMG_0535

I did learn alot of things since I started to join Tzu Chi this year. Everything starts from 缘分 and I will try my best to dedicate more to the society. Besides, helping ppl is my dream since I was young. I love what I am doing right now with no regrets at all =D

Another purpose for me to blog this post is to write what I think for the time being.

I just want to say…

I like children alot.

Whenever I look at them, I feel really happy.

I always wanting to play with them or cheer them up when they are crying.

They are really innocent and fragile.

Looking at their bright smiles can really make my days xD

Below are some of the pictures that I have taken for the day.

被动

Monday blue once more, it’s the time for me to switch my weekends mood to study mode. Well, I have been sticking around with my hubby for the past 3 days continuously. Guess that I have plenty of practices and hopefully I could improve steadily every time.

After Ekka that day which was Sat, I woke up at 7a.m because my friends were going to have baptism as a Christian. So, I attended the event to give some supports to them.

Later that day, I went to TzuChi meeting place to attend another event as a photographer. It was a fundraising event and having some prayers for Typhoon disaster victims in Taiwan. Hopefully everything would back to normal soon. I would pray for you everyday.

Straight after the event, I rushed to QUT Kelvin Grove campus to attend "Kekasih Semalam” Theatre a.k.a Merdeka celebration. When I was looking at the slides about the culture, food, places, people and buildings of M’sia, I missed home and hopefully I would be at my own country at that moment.

I miss yumcha sessions with my family and friends…

I miss M’sia jungles and nature…

I miss speaking in rojak languages….

I miss teasing and hanging out with my buddies…

I miss everything and you…

IMG_1131 Friends n me

Early morning on this good Sunday, I went to nursing home as a photographer as well. I was no longer feeling scared or weird about them. Looking at their happy faces especially zooming in by using my lens could really made me feel happy. Their expressions were so different when we were singing and dancing together. I felt touched whenever people were caring and bringing joy to others.

Group pic but I was not in there. huhu…

The shadow was killing me as I couldn’t adjust my camera setting to accommodate with the situation. Frank senior used 2 flashes when taking the group picture and the result was awesomely nice and clear.

Monday blue-ing. Jia you
