Abstract

IMG_0415

Life can be hard at times, but you gotta keep your head held high and stay positive.

Never let anyone bring you down

Lemme tell some short real life stories as I am in the mood for narrating. These 2 weeks would be the battle of time and mental. I could not stop thinking about sky diving, white water rafting and snorkeling in my mind whenever I am studying. All in all, I couldn’t stop day dreaming instead of focusing on my studies. pft. Anyhow, I am pretty excited thinking about those. There is a blogger that I admire since I started to follow about her life of adventures and traveling. P.s I don’t know this girl, but I like the way she travels around the world.

The adventurous girl that I admire of is now in another country far far away from her home country, an Indian country to be exact. I do admire her bravery and her solo traveling spirit. For me, this is beyond my limits. Since the solo one-trip, I promise myself not to travel alone. Till now, other than having sole movie outing, I don’t really dare to travel alone especially in a foreign country away from my normal routes. Anyhow, I do wish that I could escape to the nature. Looking at the skies, hearing the birds chirping, feeling the cool breeze, how serene is that. Personally, choosing the right traveler mates are extremely important. For some reasons, I dislike frantic noise, bossy noise, grumpy noise, stingy noise, smelly noise, lembik noise, it would contribute some burdens rather than joys. Don’t you think so?

Anyhow, back to the blogger that I admire. I do wish she could come back in one piece because I can’t wait to read her latest posts on her adventurous journeys. Awww. how good is that if I could afford to go far far away from the hustle and bustle life and not to mention, the noise and air pollution. Save the world, save myself.

Ok, here is one abstract post that I am ranting about. Till here Open-mouthed smile

Learn2Surf

The weather was so nice yesterday. UQMsia Society organized “learn2surf” event and there were 30 surfers and 18 non-surfers altogether. We woke up early in the morning and arrived at Currumbin Alley, Gold Coast for the lesson.

I was excited Open-mouthed smile

Wetsuit was provided and we had to carry our own heavy surfboard to another place

We were divided into few groups of 6 for briefing and training

The must-do techniques on surfing are quite basic. First of all, you have to paddle before the waves is coming after you. Once you could feel that the waves is just few centimeters behind you, start gripping on the side of the board and stand up still by bending your knees to stabilize yourself. Don’t look down at your surfboard, you have to look straight ahead you.

This is the position that could stabilize yourself when you are surfing

I managed to stand still for a few SECONDS for a few times. Yeah! I was quite satisfied though. It was not that easy especially when you were running out of energy but still have to get on board, paddle, and pushing your body up. Anyhow, a good experience for me! Would like to try again if I have the chance Open-mouthed smile

New Year Portraits (Kid)

Last year my cousin came to my house during CNY and was wearing “Chongsam”, so I took the opportunity to take a few shots of her. She was so cute and lovely :)

Canberra trip

Hi all, I would like to introduce the capital of Australia to you :)

Having said that, many people might think that the capital of Australia should be Melbourne or Sydney. Like KL, which is the most happening city is the capital of Malaysia. However, for Australia, the capital is CANBERRA which is situated at the south of NSW.

In July, my friends and I flew to Sydney. Once we landed at Sydney, we took 3 hours and 30 minutes bus ride to Canberra. Not to forget, I met up with Cherrie, my secondary schoolmate and her friend at the airport before heading to Canberra. It was so nice to see her again :)

Canberra’s temperature could drop till negative celcius when it is winter time. We were freezing cold by the time we stepped out from the bus. I couldn’t really stand the cold wind, my teeths were shaking, I was jumping up and down trying hard to warm myself ><

There, you could see lots of “leave-less” trees due to the cold weather. The city was a bit quiet and gloomy, there were not many people on the street. Guess that many students have flew to other states for holiday.

We met up with my Taylor’s classmate, Chia Ning :) She was so nice for letting us staying overnight at her house. After putting our luggages at her house, we went to city again. Their bus stop was unique, it was like a small cocoon to prevent the wind from blowing directly to us.

After meeting some new friends there, we headed to Australian National University (ANU) to have a walk. The Uni was super wide and big. We didn’t manage to visit everything there.

Had our dinner @ a Singapore restaurant. Yum Yum! We were craving for water beforehand too @.@

The weather was ++cold plus it was night time, we couldn’t do much so went back home to rest

Watched drama, gossip-ed awhile, camwhore awhile, laughed awhile, it was super fun to have everyone there :)

The next morning, we went to the must-see tourist attractions.

The above building is the NEW PARLIAMENT HOUSE. As I mentioned above, Canberra is the capital of Australia, there are lots of government buildings around. It looked something similar to Putrajaya in Msia.

Due to time constraint, we headed back to city to catch a bus back to Sydney

First of all, many thanks to Chia Ning and friends for accompanying and bringing us around in Canberra. As we were staying there for less than 24 hours, we didn’t manage to tour many places. Some other places you might want to know/visit like Cockington Green, Telstra Tower, Royal Australian Mint, Old Parliament House, etc.

There was a reason where we were rushing back to Sydney. Will update with you again, stay tune!

Thanks everyone for giving me a great and enjoyable trip in Canberra <3
