Hi all, I would like to introduce the capital of Australia to you :)
Having said that, many people might think that the capital of Australia should be Melbourne or Sydney. Like KL, which is the most happening city is the capital of Malaysia. However, for Australia, the capital is CANBERRA which is situated at the south of NSW.
In July, my friends and I flew to Sydney. Once we landed at Sydney, we took 3 hours and 30 minutes bus ride to Canberra. Not to forget, I met up with Cherrie, my secondary schoolmate and her friend at the airport before heading to Canberra. It was so nice to see her again :)
Canberra’s temperature could drop till negative celcius when it is winter time. We were freezing cold by the time we stepped out from the bus. I couldn’t really stand the cold wind, my teeths were shaking, I was jumping up and down trying hard to warm myself ><
There, you could see lots of “leave-less” trees due to the cold weather. The city was a bit quiet and gloomy, there were not many people on the street. Guess that many students have flew to other states for holiday.
We met up with my Taylor’s classmate, Chia Ning :) She was so nice for letting us staying overnight at her house. After putting our luggages at her house, we went to city again. Their bus stop was unique, it was like a small cocoon to prevent the wind from blowing directly to us.
After meeting some new friends there, we headed to Australian National University (ANU) to have a walk. The Uni was super wide and big. We didn’t manage to visit everything there.
Beautiful sunset could be seen from friends’ residential rooftop
Had our dinner @ a Singapore restaurant. Yum Yum! We were craving for water beforehand too @.@
The weather was ++cold plus it was night time, we couldn’t do much so went back home to rest
Watched drama, gossip-ed awhile, camwhore awhile, laughed awhile, it was super fun to have everyone there :)
The next morning, we went to the must-see tourist attractions.
The above building is the NEW PARLIAMENT HOUSE. As I mentioned above, Canberra is the capital of Australia, there are lots of government buildings around. It looked something similar to Putrajaya in Msia.
The Parliament Court
Lots of beautiful dried leaves
I think I saw Msia flag which was at the most-right-hand area

Due to time constraint, we headed back to city to catch a bus back to Sydney
A fountain in front of the Canberra Centre
Beautiful red leaves tree :)
First of all, many thanks to Chia Ning and friends for accompanying and bringing us around in Canberra. As we were staying there for less than 24 hours, we didn’t manage to tour many places. Some other places you might want to know/visit like Cockington Green, Telstra Tower, Royal Australian Mint, Old Parliament House, etc.
There was a reason where we were rushing back to Sydney. Will update with you again, stay tune!
Thanks everyone for giving me a great and enjoyable trip in Canberra <3
