Should I continue my violin and piano lessons? This question has been wondering in my mind for sometimes. Guys, what do you think?
The reason I would like to stop is that I feel burden sometimes. Music should be enjoy but for me, it is burden because there are too many exams that I need to focus. Besides, I am facing a few personal problems. Piano teacher wants me to take diploma exam. Violin teacher keep telling me to continue for grade 8 exam. For violin, I have learnt the 3 songs. But...... I already tell teacher that I am not going to continue. She is sad and so do I.
Erm... My final decision is I will stop for both of that. I am not ready for the exams. If got any performance, I am interested but not taking exam. I am more fond with performing than taking exam.. wakaka XD
Am I making the right choice?? +_+

I think is right for u to stop,if u continue,time after time u'll start to hate music also coz of the exams.
This is also why last time I quit violin coz i hate that teacher, music suppose to be sumtin very enjoyable and relaxing but he made it become kinda torture,gt scolded almost every lesson.What for?
Music is for us to enjoy.
Just like now, I'm happy singing just sometime would admire others who can play musical instruments. But don't like the stress "learning"=exams.

hey pretty....juz make any decision tat u think u will feel happier...enjoy watever u like....exam is juz 1 of the process 2 prove ur succesful....but tis whould not block u from doing watever u like....

i oso feel sad of cant perform well in fornt teacher n b scold or the teaher seem not so happy...

woah.... u learned piano N violin... that's like double cool..... i'm interested 2 learn violin 2!! haha.... no time is da reason i cant go on wit dat plan.
i totally understand wat u were goin thru though..... i'd been in ur situation where i almost decided to quit my piano.... wat made me change my decision? i nev really noe..... hahaha.... i guess i'm just pity of that old piano that is in my home, waiting for me to play wit it..... weird reason is it?
anyway, i'd been playing the piano for da sake of exams oni... so uncool huh? so after i finished my grade 8 exams, i decided dat enough is enough..... no more diploma n etc... bsides, i dont think i can cope wit dat.....
in conclusion.... (sorry for da really long comment.... XD) juz go ahead on wat u really 1 2 do. it's ur life n no1 can really dcide anything 4 u (err... xcept GOD though....) so, ponder upon it n cheer up ya?? really nice to c u smiling.... hahahaha......

Everything we take like playing d piano, guitar, violins...need 2 sit 4 exams, that is not cool at all...
What I think is we shud not get 约束by the exams. Our talents in learning those shud not 约束by exams.

Yes, you are right. But sometimes exam is taken to examine your standard. But I have made my decision, just follow the flow ;p

I understand what you mean. This year is not appropriate for me to take exam as I have much more things to concentrate. But my passion towards music will never end
