Hello, I am back for a proper travel sharing blog post. Long time no see peeps. I have been busy with lots of things recently, anyhow, my enthusiasm towards blogging not gonna diminish.
During the one week Easter break, my friends and I went to Cairns which was located at the north of Queensland. I was kinda worried about tsunami, yes, because it happened to a small town which was located a few miles down from Cairns – Townsville. Anyhow, the trip was still on.
There were 10 people of us. 2 pairs of couples. 6 females, 4 males. why am I typing out the details?
When we were there for the day 1, bad news reached us. We can’t do skydiving on that day due to the windy bad weather. Since we were not going to take the risk of our life, the activity was postponed to a later day. And caused us a big fuss to get arranged as other days were fully occupied with activities. Anyhow, we tried to be flexible and tolerate. It somehow strengthen our friendship bond!
Could you imagine how high the UV is? EXTREME! It is far worst than the UV in Malaysia, seriously I am telling you the truth. One could feel the pain (like something poking through your skin) if one is standing under the sun in Queensland. That’s why I get tanned easily. Not quite healthy though.
A lagoon which is located at the city of Cairns. It’s a good place for relaxation as well. Swimming is not allowed at the sea because the seaside is full of mud and is dirty. You could probably sink if the mud is soft.
The backpacker lodge that we stayed for 4 nights. It called Serpent Hotel located at Lake St.
If you are bored, there are plenty of activities you could do to spend your time. For example, watching tv, sleeping at the long couch, chess playing, playing volleyball, swimming, cooking and just chilling around.
This was our 10-bed dorm. It cost us only $14 per night. Dai dao lan. Sadly, the air conditioner was not functioning properly and the first night we had was kinda uncomfortable with the stuffy air in the room.
Our first free meal for dinner! This plate was vegetarian pasta. Though it looked not yummy, but well, who cared when it was free and all we need to pay was $14 per night?
Their first reaction towards the first free meal was “surprised & gotcha”!
After dinner, we walked around the beach which was just few minutes away from the hostel. While we kept walking towards the city along the beach, we enjoyed the scenery, had some time to take pic, chit chat, etc
A lovely couple that I admired the most. so sweet
The view along the beach was breathtaking, and the companion of cool friends added to the flavor. It made my day
Till here. Toodles~!
