Few more days before heading back to tanah airku. Unfortunately, my grandpa passed away peacefully before I am able to meet him in person. He just turned 91 today and it is his birthday too. He was a wise man, a dedicated teacher and a caring grandpa. I always hoping to go home early so that I have a chance to spend time with him, however expansive air ticket has deterred me to do so. Sadly to know that he has left us now for good. I do believe it’s a good thing as my grandma surely would be happy to meet him in the heaven. Hopefully both of them live happily ever after. Thanks Grandpa for everything you have done for us. I still remember I learnt Chinese chess from him and many other stuffs. Sometimes, he was so willing to share his stories such as what was he doing during WWWI, British colony period, Merdeka, etc.
Grandpa, you are always my dearest loving grandpa. The most significant memory I have of you was you were standing behind the door looking at me leaving for Australia last year. It was touching yet saddening to look at your expression.
R.I.P
Love,
Granddaughter
