Last 2 weeks, my friends and I went for a one day trip to Malacca impromptu. We were damn random and I liked it =)
This post would describe about our 1 day trip Malacca itinerary that I would like to share to everyone of you. All in all, Malacca is not only about historical stuffs, there are plenty of activities that you can do there.
Do forgive me for posing too many pics as I am dumb in describing without pics =x
We were at Cui Lian’s house to celebrate her bro’s birthday before the trip.
They were not playing cards but were discussing about the Malacca trip. Chanwarians’ meeting time =.=zzz
The next morning, our beautiful driver, Cui Lian drove us to Malacca with her Avanza.
The passengers + me
Our first stop was to have lunch at one of the famous Cendol shop. The food was awesomely delicious.
Well, don’t order Durian’s cendol if you dislike the strong Durians smell. When the ice had melted, the taste would change to a weird flavor. Yew…
After having lunch, we went to one of the famous temples to have some peace of mind. I suggested them to try the “tok tok tok”, sorry lar, I don’t know what it calls in Chinese/Eng.
They were “tok tok tok-ing”
After the “tok tok tok”, it’s time to see their result. Francis got something funny about his future marriage, pergi ask him if interested. lolz.
Went to the opposite temple to have a look and camwhore again. This temple was quite quiet compared to the opposite one but the interior was quite nice.
Girls purposely stood in front of the MASJID
Guys purposely stood in front of the HINDU Temple.
I have no idea what was Ah Q doing ><
Tattoo shop which was nicely decorated with wall painting.
Support M’sian Rubber, guarantee you would be safe. LMAO
Do stop by at Stadthuys which was built by Dutch when they were conquering the land of Malacca.
We were comparing our legs’ hair. Can see? =.=
Gays pose
Another historical base located beside the Kincir Air along the Malacca River. As far as I know, I did not see this base before when I first came many years ago. This place was well maintained as you still can see part of the stone bricks building. The bricks were freaking solid and rough. I wonder how the ppl in hundred years ago manage to shape it into bricks?
Model of the day – Francis Chin
Stopped by at Kincir Air – Located beside the Malacca River
There was a row of souvenir shops beside the Merdeka Square. We stopped by there because it was air-conditioning. We need cool breeze breeze~
V.S
Inside the complex, there was one Fish Spa shop. Out of curiosity, we went in to try this service. RM10 per person for 15 mins. huh?
At first, Francis and I kept screaming for the “geli-ness”. But after awhile, we all get used to it =.=
After washing our legs, we felt that our foot was smoother. Hmm…
Next, we headed to the Maritime Museum. The entrance fee is RM3 per person.
Inside the museum, you are not allowed to wear shoes/slippers. Hence, they will give you a plastic bag upon your entry. Personally, I felt that it was a wastage handing out the plastic bag to the tourists. Besides, not everyone was using it, in the end, more pollution and rubbish were created. lolz
Taken on the dek. This museum was actually a real Ship, Flor de la Mar, the Portuguese galleon which sank in the Malacca Harbour in the 16th century.
This ah pak was really good in drawing portraits. But one thing he missed out was the “big MOLE” on the girl’s cheek. Fake jor =.=
This is the Menara Taming Sari.
Visitors need to pay RM20 per person for the ride. From the top, you could see almost the whole Malacca area and it would be more beautiful to go up there during night time.
However, we did not take the ride as it was quite expansive for us.
We have our Lunch at NEWTON. It was located at the opposite of the Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall.
Newton offers a variety of unique food as there are many stalls that you can choose from.
Don’t miss out this Oyster Egg.
Ikan Bakar
Rojak
Otak-otak (Not really that nice compared to Muar’s)
We ordered Kuay Teow, Clay Pot Chicken and Popiah as well.
After having our lunch, we went to Dataran Pahlawan Malaka Megamall to shop. This shopping complex was quite big and high class compared to Mahkota Parade. Here, you could find Gucci, Adidas, Spirit, etc.
Francis and KCK were so into shopping and they bought quite a lot of thinggy. While, from the girl side, we even need to squat in front of the Malacca A Famosa Fort just to wait for the guys to come out from the shopping complex =.=
A Famosa Fort
We did not climb up the hill for the next Fort as either we had went up there before or we were exhausted.
So, the lazy us, we decided to take a “BECA” ride to Jonker Street. It cost us RM5 per person.
Although the distance was quite short, but the funniest part was, we rode on BECA for the first time. The feeling was really cool as along the way, you could see the nice view + the old/hot music being played from a Cassette player. Besides, there were ppl snapping us when we were posing for it. Got the celebrities feel. LMAO
Along the ride, we saw a few weird performances were going on.
This guy used 2 chairs to climb down from the top. His expression was kinda creepy and sad.
Rupa-rupanya he was performing an abstract performance about body, mind and soul. *Bravo*
Thought that he was committing suicide or sudah gila at first.
Since it was still early to walk in Jonker Street, we stopped by at a cafe to have some drink.
There, Durian cendol is really famous. This cafe is located just beside the round about to the Jonker Street.
If it was custard with hot chocolate, the taste would be superb.
Cartoon Small Fan
My friend bought a dog bone fan pulak.
I want a dog as my pet ><
We got the chance to watch the live making of this cute cute cartoon characters. They were made by plain flour, how creative they were.
It was RM5 per character.
But for this dragon, it cost RM30.
After walking along the Jonker Street, we went for the Malacca River Cruise. It was RM10 for adult, RM5 for Children.
Once again, it was our first time for taking the cruise, so why not try it?
During the cruise, we saw lots of nice Malay houses, music water fountain, shopping complex, fun fair site, etc. I was fascinated by the traditional Malay houses the most.
A small girl was singing K with her mum.
We walked along the Malacca river (the back yard of all the shops) to get our car. The place was really quiet but we could see the “beautiful” lights lit up along the river. No pics due to exhaustion.
Colorful church located opposite Public Bank.
After putting some stuffs in the car, we walked AGAIN to a place which offered Ho Chiak satay celup.
Actually I wanted to bring them to a shop where my friends and I went before but couldn’t find it due to misunderstanding of the directions. But never mind, it seem that this satay celup makan shop was very famous as we could see lots of celebrities pictures hanging on the wall.
What is satay celup? Satay celup is where you put the sticks with food you want to eat and celup (Dip) it into the satay sauce.
This is what Satay Celup looks like. Personally, the satay sauce was not as nice as the one I went before last time although this shop was more famous. Yea, never judge a book by its appearance. lolz
While we were heading back to Sban, the traffic was quite jam as most of the cars were heading towards KL after Haji holiday. We spotted a car with WTF and my friend asked me took a pic of it. Dunno y pun? lolz.
R.I.P Doraemon. Sorry that I did not take good care of you and making you suffer from sand dialysis, suffocation and freckles all over your face T.T
