Taman Negara is a nature place which is suitable for nature seeker, adventurers, family outing & loved ones. Basically, everyone =)
Early in the morning around 5.30a.m, we departed to this far-fetched place. It took us around 2 hrs 30 mins to reach Jerantut. From there, if you want to go to Taman Negara by BOAT. You gotta travel 17km to the Jetty from Jerantut town. Remember, the boats only depart twice a day which are 9AM & 2AM – RM30 per head & it is 3 Hours ride.
We have missed the time of the boat ride. That’s the consequence of not doing any research beforehand =s So, we travelled back to Jerantut town & headed to Taman Negara by land (Follow Maran, Kuantan sighboard for approx 20km).
After passing by all the winding roads, we have reached a small place, which is Taman Negara. The surrounding area was quite isolated & quiet. But we saw lots of foreigners taking their rucksacks preparing for camping.
We have to cross a small river which cost us RM1 per head & RM1 permit, RM5 per camera.
There are a few places that we can roam in the jungle such as walking towards Terengganu state. We have chosen the canopy walk. RM5 per head for adult.
After the long walk on the trees, we went for rapid shooting. We went up the stream & the water splashed our face once the boat rocking the rapid water rushing down from the opposite direction.
When we were about to leave the place, our car broke down as there was smth wrong to the starter. We did not know what to do at first as the place was deserted & really really far from the main town. My bro & dad tried their luck by walking up and down the slope to find the nearest mechanic shop.
After that, 3 org asli came with their car & tried to help us but phailed. The last method was to push the car down hill & tried to start the engine. Luckily, it work ^^ My dad asked how much should him pay for the help (he expected around RM100). BUT, the guy said RM20. We were so shocked that it was cheap. Anyhow, my dad gave more & we gave him a few packets of oranges, peanuts & soya. Guess that they have never seen that kind of stuffs be4. Do u believe in Karma?? Erm…. I’m started to wonder about it.
Whosh, it was a long journey of travelling in just a day. But, if you like staying around the forest, you could stay overnight. If you scare boring, it’s better to go a day trip as ermm..google to know more things to do there, unless you are an outgoing person & wanna camp there =)
