Basically our day 3 itinerary was a bit relaxing compared to the other days. We woke up early as usual and a friendly tour guide fetched us to the skyrail station. We went up to Kuranda Village by cable car. It was kinda scary at first as the railway was steep. Anyhow, kinda enjoyed the nature view and the cool breeze.
We had our lunch @ Kuranda Village
Mashed potatoes with red beans and cheese
Vegetarian Burger with chips
This river reminded me about Taman Negara which has a similar long river as well
We didn’t manage to have jungle walking due to time constraints. Sighs!
We sat on the Kuranda old train back to Cairns city. It took around 2 hours for the journey. If not mistaken, the train used coals as fuels to run the train. classic!
Because our lovely friend, illy was not going for skydiving, we left him alone at Kuranda
He didn’t want us to leave him and started to beg us *dramatic* (fictional story)
But we did leave him alone in Kuranda. Anyhow, it seem that he enjoyed his solo adventures by shopping there!
The interior design of the train. It was antique I could say. There were quite a few stories about the making of the railway where many workers were died by building it and they encountered difficulties due to the landscapes, financial aids, bla bla bla.
Magnificent waterfall
Tut tut drain. *where is Popeye the Sailor?*
The scenery while we were walking on foot back to hostel (approx 2km)
After showering, it was time for “SHIT DAI DE”. The game was quite similar with dai de, but the good thing about it was 6 players max could play together. and the funny thing was every player has their own position (like king, queen, citizens & prostitutes) shuffled around on each game.
We went to CITY for Crepessss
After having a satisfying supper, we headed back to rest for our last day adventure, WHITE WATER RAFTING. Click HERE to view the post.
The blogger feels great after yesterday’s live game where BRISBANE LION won against North Melbourne. It was an exciting game and not to forget to say, it was the blogger’s first experience on watching AFL Live.
Till here. That’s the end of my CAIRNS trip. Although we did not manage to do skydiving, we still have the chance to do it in Brisbane itself. Seize the day!
Love
